Doctor's Appointment

Just wanted to let you know that Shane and I went to our second doctor's appointment today. The doctor listened to the baby's heart beat, which continues to be strong and shows the baby is growing well. My weight gain is right on schedule. Shane got to hear the heart beat for the first time, which was really exciting for him!
We also met our doctor today, she is a wonderful doctor and we were very impressed with her.

Baby Registry

Hi Friends and Family!
I just wanted to let you know that we have registered for the baby at Babies R Us. If you don't have a store in your area, you can also check it out at www.babiesrus.com . Just search the registry for Beidler, and our name should show up, e-mail me at karabeidler@gmail.com if you have any problems. This might be the best gift ideas for Christmas and my birthday. I will also be updating the Registry as we get closer to the due date.
In other news, I am feeling somewhat nauseous and sick lately. I have a little less than 2 more weeks until the end of the First Trimester, that is a little milestone for us! Overall, I am feeling well and have my next doctor's appointment on Dec. 17 and I'll let everyone know how that goes.

First Baby Picture

Well, I had my first doctor's appointment this morning.  It was amazing to get to see the baby on the ultrasound and also to hear it's heart beat, which is about 160 BPM, which I was assured is in the normal range.  The baby's development is right on schedule.  Today was just to get a bunch of tests done and get a first look at the baby.

I am very pleased with the doctor and the facility, I am confident with their professionalism and the friendliness and competence of the staff.

I was also given a new due date for the baby, it is June 13, 2009.

8 weeks

We are now at 8 weeks into the pregnancy. According to my reading, that means the baby is about the size of a kidney bean. I have my first doctor's appointment on Monday, which hopefully I'll get my first baby picture.
I'm feeling all right, a little nauseous after I eat, but luckily that's just about it. I'm starting to gain a few pounds, and my belly is poking out slightly as my body adjusts to the changes. I'll let you know what happens after the appointment.

Welcome!
I am very excited to be starting my blog and sharing with my friends and family my newest adventure in life.
First things first. Shane and I recently found out that we are expecting a baby! By our estimates the baby is about 6 1/2 weeks along and due around June 19, 2009.
I will be updating this blog with photos, news, and information as this little one progresses.
